Our Approach

Our Approach

Welcome to Our Family

Here at the Elemental Family, we craft resilient health and wellness with the tools of somatic psychotherapy, Chinese medicine, and mindfulness meditation.

Founded by a mother-daughter team, we are a family practice in the truest sense.

We offer our fellow wellness-seekers concrete strategies and healing experiences to achieve both a state of relief as well as sustainable shifts for the long-term. We pride ourselves on our effective, gentle, and holistic approach.

As practitioners at the Elemental Family, our intentions are two-fold:

  1. To create a wellness center that inspires, nurtures, and sustains a mindful community.
  2. To embark, with each client, on an archeological dig so to speak – one that reestablishes and reconnects you to your core state of being.

Our Mind-Body Treatment Philosophy

Most likely, you are seeking relief – something’s not working for you or your child, be it physical, mental-emotional, or relational. We view this moment as an opportunity for us to work together to cultivate the conditions for optimal physical, emotional, and spiritual balance.

These conditions include a series of healing states that we like to call the 4R’s. During your treatments at the Elemental Family, you will:

  • Relax – gain access to your internal state of calm and equanimity
  • Regulate – align your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system
  • Reframe – learn to respond to yourself and others from a compassionate, positive, mindful place
  • Restore  – nourish your deepest state of being
